AirAsia's ₱208 promo fares — what they are and how to actually book one
As a Department of Tourism partner in the "Discover More to Love" campaign, AirAsia Philippines is selling domestic promo fares from ₱208 during the campaign window, which runs through November 2026. The fares are real — but they're promotional base fares on selected routes and dates, in limited seat buckets. Here's how to actually get one instead of just reading about it.
What ₱208 actually buys
₱208 is a promotional base fare. Taxes, fees, and add-ons (baggage, seats, meals) are added at checkout, so the amount you pay will be higher — the AirAsia payment page is the final word. It's still a genuinely cheap way to fly domestic if you travel light and are flexible on dates.
Where the live destination list is
The included routes rotate during the campaign, so any fixed list published by a blog — including us — would go stale. The only reliable list is AirAsia's own PH promotions page, which shows what's bookable right now. Bookmark it and check on weekday mornings.
Six rules for catching promo fares
- Fly midweek. Promo seat buckets on Tuesday–Thursday flights last longest.
- Book early in the sale window. The cheapest buckets go first; day one beats day five.
- Keep the group small. A booking for 1–2 passengers finds promo seats a family of 6 won't.
- Travel light. Add-on baggage can cost more than the base fare — a carry-on keeps the deal a deal.
- Pay immediately. Promo fares don't survive long in a pending cart.
- Compare before you commit. Check Cebu Pacific's seat sales and PAL SuperDeals for the same route — the campaign has all three airlines competing.
The window is closing: the DOT campaign runs through November 2026. If you're planning a Christmas trip home or a year-end family vacation, the promo-fare hunting season is now — December travel on promo fares books out well ahead.
